My name is Ashley and I’m a senior at Trinity College working as a Watkinson Library Fellow, for which I have to create a project based on the library’s massive, and largely unread, rare book collection.
I have chosen to create a collection of vignettes and short stories using the diaries of women from the late 19th to the early 20th centuries. These stories will hopefully open readers’ minds to the inner world and life of the American woman, who I believe has been largely underrepresented in literature and history.
